One of my areas of expertise is ADHD. I provide diagnostic assessments for ADHD, and I provide individual therapy for ADHD.
Clinical Assessment for ADHD
If you are interested in being evaluated for ADHD, I can provide a 3-4 session assessment to determine whether or not you have the diagnosis. This comprehensive assessment typically includes completion of standardized questionnaires, a semi-structured clinical interview for ADHD using DSM-IV criteria, and a thorough evaluation of your history and development. I do not conduct neuropsychological testing, but sometimes refer clients on for such testing if a specific learning disability is suspected or if such testing is required for academic or occupational purposes.
Individual Therapy for ADHD
I provide individual therapy for adults and teens with ADHD. The focus of therapy depends on what your goals are, but may include behavioral or cognitive strategies for better managing ADHD symptoms, improving skills for organizing and and managing your life, addressing how ADHD affects relationships, treating co-occurring depression or anxiety, exploring how ADHD has affected self-esteem and self-confidence, and learning new tools and strategies to feel more in control of your life. Every therapy is different because every individual is unique, so I will work with you to tailor my approach to your individual needs and goals.
